Classes are hybrid style, with recordings available if you cannot attend live!
In these workshops, Shannon will introduce the concept of using the dancing sword as an Athame. Students will also learn how to use specific movements to create moving spellwork. You can take these workshops as a step on your own spiritual path, or as an exercise for creating your own deeply meaningful dances - or both! Shannon says, "This is not a traditional form of sword dance. We will be walking a new path together, and what we will create is not traditional and should not be interpreted that way. We are creating something out of the ether- a different way to connect with our swords and the energy they bring to our dance." Both classes are geared toward students who have some sword experience, but adventurous beginners are welcomed!
WS1 10:00-13:00 MESZ
Sword Magick: Technique
Delve into Shannon's magical world of sword dance: technique and drills, magical correspondences, influences and inspirations - pulling from a deep connection to art, nature, spirit, and all things in between. Students will also get the opportunity to create something beautiful and meaningful together as a group.
WS2: 14:00-17:00 MESZ
Sword Magick: Spellwork Choreography
Learn a choreography steeped in ritual and dripping with magic. The choreography will echo the steps of spell-crafting, and each student will have the opportunity to craft their own combination of magical movement to form a personalized piece of dance magic.
*Option for students to perform the piece at the hafla later in the evening!*
Hafla 19:00-21:00 MESZ
We invide all participants of the workshops to join us for a magical hafla without any pressure or expectations. No matter if you show up in full costume or casual, you are very welcome to share your latest dance creations or just hang out and get inspired by the performances.
The recording of the workshops will be avaiable for limited time after the weekend.
As we are aware of the different financial situations we are offering a sliding scale for the fees.
Early bird price till June 10th:
1 WS 3 hours: 50-55€
2 WS 6 hours: 90-110€
June 11-July 9:
1 WS 3 hours: 55-60€

Shannon stammt aus der San Francisco Bay Area und ist zertifizierte Ausbilderin der Bohemian Blade Foundations, Kompaniemitglied von Jill Parkers Little Egypt Dance Company und Leiterin ihrer eigenen theatralischen Dark-Fusion-Kompanie, The Dancers of Nyx.
In diesen Workshops wird Shannon das Konzept der Verwendung des tanzenden Schwertes als Athame vorstellen. Die Schüler lernen auch, wie sie bestimmte Bewegungen verwenden, um bewegende Zauber zu erstellen. Du kannst diese Workshops als einen Schritt auf deinem eigenen spirituellen Weg nehmen oder als Übung, um deine eigenen tief bedeutungsvollen Tänze zu kreieren – oder beides! Shannon sagt: „Dies ist keine traditionelle Form des Schwerttanzes. Wir werden gemeinsam einen neuen Weg gehen, und was wir erschaffen werden, ist nicht traditionell und sollte nicht so interpretiert werden. Wir erschaffen etwas aus dem Äther – etwas anderes Weg, uns mit unseren Schwertern und der Energie, die sie in unseren Tanz bringen, zu verbinden." Beide Klassen richten sich an Schüler mit etwas Schwerterfahrung, aber abenteuerlustige Anfänger sind willkommen!

Schwertmagie: Technik
Tauchen Sie ein in Shannons magische Welt des Schwerttanzes: Technik und Übungen, magische Entsprechungen, Einflüsse und Inspirationen – schöpfend aus einer tiefen Verbindung zu Kunst, Natur, Geist und allem dazwischen. Die Schüler möchten auch die Möglichkeit erhalten, gemeinsam als Gruppe etwas Schönes und Sinnvolles zu schaffen.
WS2: 14:00-17:00
Sword Magick: Spellwork Choreographie
Lernen Sie eine rituelle Choreographie kennen, die vor Magie trieft. Die Choreografie wird die Schritte der Zaubererstellung widerspiegeln, und jeder Schüler wird die Möglichkeit haben, seine eigene Kombination aus magischen Bewegungen zu erstellen, um ein persönliches Stück Tanzmagie zu bilden.
*Option für Studenten, das Stück später am Abend in der Hafla aufzuführen!*

Wir laden alle Teilnehmer der Workshops zu einer magischen Hafla ohne Druck und Erwartungen ein. Egal, ob Du in vollem Kostüm oder lässig erscheinen, Du bist herzlich eingeladen, deine neuesten Tanzkreationen zu teilen oder einfach abzuhängen und Dich von den Aufführungen inspirieren zu lassen.
Die Aufnahme der Workshops wird euch nach dem Wochenende für einen begrenzten Zeitraum zur Verfügung gestellt!
Da wir uns der unterschiedlichen finanziellen Verhältnisse bewusst sind, bieten wir eine Staffelung der Gebühren an.
